My Story

When my twin daughters were in preschool they had a complete psycho social collapse. They were uncontrollable behaviorally. I spent several dark months trying to find answers and heard many things I did not like and was not willing to accept - medication and schizophrenia among them.  We finally came to a diagnosis of Sensory Processing Disorder that made sense to me given their behavior and the pattern of their development.  I read and read some more.  I started trying new approaches to their diet that had a profound impact on them.  In tandem with Occupational Therapy my daughters came out of a place of anger and anguish and were recognizable again as the loving, creative and vibrant beings I cherished.

I was driven to find out why the interventions we implemented had such a positive effect on them. I returned to school to study nutrition so that I could help other families in their journeys in finding health and balance in their lives.

I bring to the table years of experience on how to create meals and snacks that support the child and their bioindividual needs while fostering a love and appreciation for good food as well as a solid background in the field of nutrition and health.  With 15 years of experience working in the sustainable food and agriculture industry I hold a deep knowledge of how to procure foods that are raised in ways that ensure maximum vitality and nutritional integrity.  I earned my Nutritional Consultant certification with honors from Bauman College and hold a Master of Science in Adult Education focused on sustainable food systems from Cornell University.
